Big Statements Follow Dramatic Week 5 NFL Wins
Players and coaches shared strong reactions after wild Week 5 finishes in London and New Orleans.

Wild finish in London
Week 5 of the NFL season brought plenty of dramatic moments and strong statements across the league. A close matchup between Jacksonville and Philadelphia in London produced the wildest finish of the week.
Philadelphia took a 17-16 lead with only eight seconds remaining on the clock. That was still enough time for Jacksonville to respond. Ameer Abdullah set up the final play with a 53 yard kickoff return. Cam Little then kicked a 57 yard field goal as time expired, giving Jacksonville a 19-17 victory.
The late win led to an excited postgame reaction from Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence. He yelled, "They can't ice you!"
Sirianni takes the blame
On the other side of that same finish, Philadelphia coach Nick Sirianni blamed himself for the late loss. He said, "I lost us that game."
With under 30 seconds remaining, Philadelphia attempted passes on first and second down. The team then ran the ball on third down before kicking the go ahead field goal, leaving eight seconds for Jacksonville. Sirianni explained that he did not want quarterback Jalen Hurts to take a knee on those early plays because he feared a loss of yardage would push them out of field goal range.
Meanwhile, Minnesota stayed unbeaten with a 23-13 victory over New Orleans. Star receiver Justin Jefferson returned to the lineup in his hometown of New Orleans and made a leaping touchdown catch inside triple coverage. Quarterback Kyler Murray praised his receiver after the game, saying, "A guy like that, you give him a chance."
