Bijan Robinson Is Ruling Primetime Football for the Falcons
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is putting up historic numbers in primetime games as he prepares to face the New Orleans Saints.

Historic Numbers Under the Lights
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is built for the big stage. Since the 1970 merger, no player averages more scrimmage yards per game in primetime than Robinson. He is putting up 145.4 yards per game in 11 night appearances. That puts him ahead of Barry Sanders, who sits in second place with 126.3 yards.
Robinson has been dominant since entering the league. He is averaging over 20 scrimmage yards per game more than any other running back in primetime since his 2023 debut, outperforming stars like Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley. In his last four night games, Robinson has taken it to another level, averaging 213.8 scrimmage yards.
Worth Every Penny
The Falcons rewarded their star with a massive offseason extension. Robinson is under contract for three years with a base salary of 66.75 million dollars, which can go up to 75 million. It briefly made him the highest paid running back in league history, just behind Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions.
His peers think he is worth the price. After Robinson had 194 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-14 win against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3, Packers running back Kaleb Johnson said, "He deserves every penny of that." Defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. went even further, calling Robinson "the best player I've ever seen play football."
Robinson is already a first team All-Pro and currently leads the league with 467 yards from scrimmage this season. He says his mentality stays the same no matter the kickoff time. He likes to quote Kobe Bryant, saying, "They paid to watch you, so you got to do your job on the field."
