Okereke leads Carolina turnaround

Bobby Okereke had a mixed stint with the New York Giants. However, the linebacker has made big steps forward in his first five games with the Carolina Panthers.

In a 25-14 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, Okereke recorded eight tackles, two passes defended, and a sack. Seven of those tackles were solo efforts. He set the tone on the first play of the game with an 11 yard sack on Tanner McKee.

Through five games, Okereke has a sack, a forced fumble, an interception, and four passes defended. His play has helped Carolina reach a 3-2 record to top the NFC South. The Panthers continue to improve after winning just two games in 2023 and going 8-9 last season.
