Premier League giants eye Benfica defender

Manchester United and Chelsea are both keeping a close eye on Benfica defender Tomás Araújo. The 24 year old can play at center back and right back. He has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, but United and Chelsea are showing the most interest.

Araújo recently signed a contract extension with Benfica that runs until 2031. This makes a transfer in the January window unlikely. However, he has a release clause valued at £68 million, which means a club could still try to push a deal through.

Sancho patient on future as Juventus plans rebuild

Meanwhile, winger Jadon Sancho is currently a free agent after leaving Manchester United in the summer. The 26 year old is willing to wait until January to make a decision on his next club if the right offer does not arrive before then. Several teams have been linked with him, but nothing is advanced.

Over in Italy, Juventus is preparing a major squad rebuild. The Italian side is looking at Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who could leave on a free transfer at the end of the season. Other targets include defenders Oumar Solet, David Raum, and Tyrick Mitchell. Juventus also has eyes on midfielders Stanislav Lobotka, Mateo Kovacic, and Brahim Díaz, along with striker Jean Philippe Mateta.

Félix eyes Barcelona return

In other transfer news, João Félix wants to return to Barcelona next year. The 27 year old Portuguese international is currently playing for Al Nassr, but his contract there is expiring. Félix previously spent a year on loan at Barcelona, scoring 10 goals in 44 games. He wants to play in the Champions League again, though Barcelona does not currently view him as a priority target.
