Chloe Bibby has had a wild year, but the 28 year old Australian forward is finally settled and ready for the WNBA playoffs. Her year started in April when she was drafted by the Portland Fire. Just a month later, she was traded to the Phoenix Mercury and waived two days later because of a knee injury.

After returning home to Ballarat in Australia, she earned a short stint in Chicago. Soon after, she signed a contract for the rest of the season with the Minnesota Lynx, who secured the top seed in the league. Bibby said it has been a whirlwind but an exciting one.

Finding Her Rhythm in Minnesota

Bibby recently showed what she can do on the court. On Wednesday, she scored a career high 15 points, including five three pointers, against her former team, the Indiana Fever. Her parents were in the crowd to watch her play in America for the first time. Bibby said her career has been about staying ready and giving it a crack whenever she gets an opportunity.

Before her recent breakout game with Minnesota, Bibby also represented the Australian Opals at the FIBA World Cup in Germany. That tournament was tough as the team dealt with injuries and illness. Now, Bibby is one of eight Australians playing in the postseason.

The Lynx finished the regular season with 32 wins. They are led by rookie Olivia Miles, who averages 19.8 points per game, along with Kayla McBride and Napheesa Collier. The team wants to win the championship after losing in the finals last year. The first round of the playoffs begins this weekend.
