Cole Palmer Signs Chelsea Extension Until 2034
Cole Palmer has agreed a new contract extension that keeps him at Chelsea until 2034.

Long term commitment at Stamford Bridge
Cole Palmer has extended his stay at Chelsea by signing a new contract until 2034. The 24 year old forward had previously signed an extension until 2033 back in August 2024. This new agreement adds another year to his time with the club.
Since moving from Manchester City in August 2023, Palmer has recorded 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances. He expressed his joy about staying, saying Chelsea means a lot to him and that conversations with the owners, sporting directors, and manager gave him plenty of confidence.
Recent form and international situation
Palmer has started the current campaign well, scoring four goals in seven matches. However, his recent path has not been entirely smooth. He struggled with a persistent groin issue last season and missed out on the World Cup.
England head coach Thomas Tuchel recently criticized Palmer after he did not make himself available for international selection while Chelsea managed his workload. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso stated on Friday that Palmer must be fully fit to play. Alonso added that once Palmer is fully fit, both the club and the national team will need him.
Building for the future
Palmer noted that everyone at the club shares the ambition to win major trophies consistently. He wants to play a big role in that success over the coming years.
Chelsea have consistently handed out long contracts to key squad members. Palmer is not the only player locked down long term. Recent deals signed by João Pedro and Pedro Neto also run into the 2030s.
