In the video, the couple can be seen wearing matching white outfits. The video includes several short clips of the two together, as well as shots of ultrasound photos. One photo shows a roll nestled with a teddy bear in a basket. A blanket in the basket reads "Baby Penix, Spring 2027."

The couple wrote "upgraded to mom and dad" in the caption of the post.

From Washington to Atlanta

The couple got married in May of this year, following their engagement in 2024. They originally met when Penix was playing quarterback for the University of Washington. He helped lead the Huskies to the 2024 College Football Playoff national championship game, where they eventually lost to Michigan.

This happy personal news comes right after a successful moment on the field for the quarterback. Penix made his first start of the 2026 season on Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers. He had a strong performance, throwing for 256 yards and one touchdown. His efforts helped lead the Falcons to a dominant 35-14 victory.
