Former NFL Star Tyreek Hill Testifies in Assault Civil Trial
Former NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill took the stand in Miami, denying physical abuse allegations made by his estranged wife Lakeeta Vaccaro.

The Testimony in Miami
Former NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill took the stand on Thursday during his assault and battery civil trial in Miami. Hill denied all allegations of physical abuse made by his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro. The trial is now in its third day.
While Hill denied physically hurting Vaccaro, he admitted to making threats. He told the court he was deeply ashamed of telling her he could get people to hurt her. Hill said he made the comment in the heat of the moment with no intention of following through. He said he wished he could take it all back.
Denying the Abuse Allegations
Vaccaro has accused Hill of hitting, scratching, shoving, and spitting on her, as well as pulling her hair. She also alleged he punched toward her stomach while she was pregnant. Hill denied every single one of these claims under oath.
The couple's nanny camera captured audio and video of their final fight in April 2025 before Vaccaro filed for divorce. The video showed the two screaming at each other. Vaccaro's mother was in the home at the time and testified earlier on Thursday. She stated she never saw Hill physically abuse her daughter.
Hill claimed their arguments were mostly about money and a post-nuptial agreement Vaccaro refused to sign. He accused her of taking about 60,000 dollars a month from a family account when she was only supposed to receive 15,000 dollars.
Family Life and What Comes Next
Hill painted a picture of his current life as an unsigned player recovering from knee surgery. He described himself as a stay at home dad to his eight children and said he spends his time as a gymnastics dad.
He also shared details about a tense encounter after their separation. Hill claimed Vaccaro initiated an intimate encounter that made him uncomfortable. He testified that he pushed her against a wall to get her off him, which left a hole in the wall. After that night, Hill said he began bringing police officers with him to pick up their daughter.
The NFL is currently reviewing Hill's conduct. Meanwhile, his agent says Hill could be close to negotiating a new contract. Cross-examination of Hill is scheduled to begin on Friday.
