Haaland Calls for Unity as Man City Face Liverpool After Verdict
Erling Haaland urges Manchester City to stick together and stay positive ahead of their clash with Liverpool following the Premier League guilty verdict.

City Must Stick Together
Erling Haaland has called on everyone at Manchester City to stick together and stay positive. The team is preparing for its first match since being found guilty of more than 100 serious breaches of Premier League financial regulations.
Most of the players were away representing their countries during the extended international break when the legal verdict was made public. City have branded the independent commission verdict as unsafe. The club has already lodged a comprehensive appeal against the decision.
Facing the Anfield Crowd
Enzo Maresca's team will travel to face Liverpool on Sunday. The players seem certain to receive a hostile reception from the Anfield crowd.
Despite the pressure, Haaland is telling supporters and teammates to keep their heads up. He said that the travelling fans are going to have a good time.
Haaland said that no matter what happens in life, they always have to have a smile. He urged the team to stay positive, look ahead, and spread the love to each other.
Haaland's Connection to the Club
Haaland joined City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022. He has won a host of individual and team honours during his time in Manchester. He also has deep family ties to the country.
His mother and father lived in the UK for ten years, residing in Nottingham and Leeds. His father trained at Carrington every day. Haaland spent his first four years here, while his brother spent nine years and his sister spent six.
He said that he cares a lot about City and the fans because he feels with them as a fan himself.
