Players also took part in local baseball games. Brunson and Hart threw simultaneous first pitches at a New York Yankees game in June. The Yankees won that game 10-5 against the Chicago White Sox. Hart later received his own bobblehead night in September before a doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles.

The team collected awards as well. The Knicks won Best Team at the ESPYS, while Brunson picked up three individual awards, including Best Championship Performance for his 45 point Game 5 effort. Anunoby won Best Play for his late tip in during Game 4.
