Marsh powers Indiana comeback

Number 7 Indiana stayed undefeated on Saturday with a 20-17 win over Nebraska. Receiver Nick Marsh caught a 44 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Hoover on fourth down to give Indiana its first lead of the day.

Nebraska crowded the line on fourth and 1 at their own 44 yard line, expecting a run. Indiana brought in an extra lineman in a tight formation, but Hoover flipped a pass to a wide open Marsh, who ran untouched into the end zone.

Late fourth quarter explosion

Nebraska took a 17-6 lead early in the fourth quarter on a 39 yard touchdown run by quarterback Anthony Colandrea. Indiana answered immediately on the very next play. Hoover hit Marsh for a 75 yard catch and run touchdown to cut into the lead.

After the Indiana defense forced a stop, Hoover led the drive that ended with the 44 yard winning score. Hoover finished 12 of 22 passing for 263 yards. Marsh pulled in six passes for 187 yards.

Streaks continue for both sides

Nebraska led 10-3 at halftime on a warm, sun splashed afternoon at Memorial Stadium. It was the first time defending national champion Indiana trailed after two quarters since last season's Big Ten title game.

Indiana was held to season lows of 65 yards rushing and 328 total yards. Big Ten rushing leader Turbo Richard was limited to 10 yards on eight carries, while Lee Beebe Jr. ran nine times for 31 yards.

Colandrea threw for 255 yards on 25 of 43 passing for Nebraska, while Jacory Barney caught nine passes for 108 yards. The Huskers fell to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play under fourth year coach Matt Rhule. Nebraska has now lost 31 straight games against Top 25 opponents. Indiana improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in Big Ten play, winning its 22nd game in a row.
