Jets Offense Missing Breece Hall and Adonai Mitchell Against Browns
The struggling New York Jets will be without key playmakers Breece Hall and Adonai Mitchell as they try to snap a three game losing streak against Cleveland.

Offense Hit by Key Injuries
The New York Jets are facing a tough test this Sunday. Head coach Aaron Glenn has ruled out running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell for the game against the Cleveland Browns. Both players missed practice all week. Hall is dealing with a quadriceps injury and will miss his second straight game. Mitchell has a finger injury and will be out for his third consecutive game.
Left guard Dylan Parham is also out with a knee injury. This leaves the Jets offense short handed as they try to snap a three game losing streak.
Rebounding From a Historic Low
The timing of these injuries is incredibly tough. The Jets are coming off a poor performance in a 23-12 loss to the Chicago Bears. The game was historically lopsided on the stat sheet. The Bears had 34 first downs while the Jets ran only 32 total plays. The Jets held the ball for just 17:15, and quarterback Geno Smith threw only 15 passes.
Offensive coordinator Frank Reich took responsibility for the struggles, pointing to a 0 for 7 record on third downs. "It was just poor on our part, and I'm the offensive coordinator, so I'm ultimately responsible for that," Reich said.
Braelon Allen will start at running back for Hall. Allen rushed 14 times for 59 yards against the Bears. He was the only Jets player to carry the ball in that game, which was a franchise first.
Some Positive News on the Injury Front
The Jets did receive some positive news this week. Tight end Mason Taylor is set to return after missing two games with a thumb injury. He practiced all week and will be available. Wide receiver Tim Patrick could also play. His 21 day practice window opened this week after he spent four weeks on injured reserve with a strained groin.
As for Mitchell, coach Glenn did not say if his finger is fractured or sprained, but he confirmed no surgery was needed. Glenn hopes Mitchell can return next week.
