Macklin Celebrini Scores in Return as Sharks Fall to Oilers
San Jose captain Macklin Celebrini scored his first goal of the season in his return, but the Sharks lost 3-1 to the Edmonton Oilers.

Celebrini Back on the Ice
Macklin Celebrini returned to action on Saturday after sitting out two games with a lower body injury. The 20 year old San Jose Sharks captain was missed on Monday against the Dallas Stars and again on Thursday against the St. Louis Blues.
Celebrini logged 21:59 of ice time across 24 shifts against the Edmonton Oilers at SAP Center. He recorded two shots, two hits, and two penalty minutes. He scored his first goal of the season midway through the third period, but it was not enough to save San Jose from a 3-1 defeat.
Edmonton Controls the Action
The Oilers secured their fourth straight victory behind a strong offensive effort. Mattias Ekholm opened the scoring at 12:37 of the first period. Vasily Podkolzin extended the lead early in the third period with his fifth goal of the season. Connor McDavid set up the goal, giving him 13 points and 10 assists on the year. That move pushed McDavid past Jack Eichel for the league lead in both stats.
Alex Formenton scored on a backhand shot shortly after to give Edmonton a 3-0 lead. San Jose goalie Yaroslav Askarov finished with 17 saves, while Edmonton goaltender Tristan Jarry made 19 saves to earn the win.
