Packers Star Micah Parsons Not Expected to Play Against Cowboys
Micah Parsons is not expected to practice this week as the Packers prepare for Sunday night's matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Parsons Expected to Miss Dallas Game
Green Bay will be without star pass rusher Micah Parsons when practice begins this week. The team is not anticipating that he will participate as it prepares for Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
There is still plenty of uncertainty about exactly when Parsons will return from his knee injury. The hope within the organization still remains that he will make it back onto the field sometime this month. For now, the wait continues.
Recovery from Knee Surgery
Parsons currently sits on the physically unable to perform list as he continues his recovery. He suffered a torn ACL and meniscus injury last season, which ended his year and started a lengthy rehab process.
Back in August, Parsons spoke about targeting this specific game. He said at the time that he thought it was "realistic" that he would be able to return for the Week 6 matchup against his former team. That reunion will have to wait, as he is not ready for game action just yet.
Impact on the Green Bay Defense
The Packers brought in Parsons from the Cowboys in a blockbuster trade last year. His presence made an immediate difference for the defense. Green Bay went 9-3-1 in 2025 with Parsons in the lineup.
Parsons was a force all year. He recorded 12.5 sacks during that stretch and led the entire NFL with 64 quarterback pressures.
The team struggled heavily once he was sidelined. After Parsons suffered his knee injury, Green Bay did not win another game for the rest of the season. Heading into this weekend, the Packers sit at 3-2 on the year.
