Sangare Target Top Two Finish for Unbeaten Brentford
Mamadou Sangare wants Brentford to push for a top two Premier League finish after an unbeaten start to the season.

Big ambitions at Brentford
Brentford midfielder Mamadou Sangare believes his team can surprise everyone this season. The summer signing has urged the club to aim for a top two finish in the Premier League.
The Bees sit fourth in the table after six matches. They are five points behind second place Arsenal and remain undefeated this season. Their strong start includes eye catching wins over both Tottenham and Chelsea.
Brentford first reached the Premier League in 2021. Despite losing former manager Thomas Frank last season, they finished ninth and barely missed out on qualifying for Europe.
Rejecting big offers
Brentford built their rise on smart scouting, finding talent overlooked by rival teams. Sangare appears to be the latest success story in that model.
The 24 year old midfielder arrived from Lens on a club record deal. He has earned praise for his tough tackling performances in midfield. Several major European clubs tried to sign him this summer, but Sangare turned them down.
He told Sky Sports that he received interest from many teams but chose Brentford for his career growth. He said having a coach who really wanted him was a major factor in his choice.
Aiming for the top
Brentford have never played in a European tournament in their history. Sangare believes this squad can change that and aim even higher.
He asked why the team cannot reach the top four or even the top two this year. Sangare insisted that Brentford has a very good team, quality players, and a great manager capable of delivering a real surprise.
