Tennessee Beats Alabama 26-10 as Crimson Tide Drop Second Straight Game
Tennessee beat Alabama 26-10 on Saturday as DeSean Bishop ran for 159 yards and two touchdowns in a strong conference victory.

Big running game carries Volunteers
DeSean Bishop put on a dominant show on Saturday, rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns to guide Tennessee to a 26-10 victory over Alabama in Knoxville.
The win marks the third straight victory for the Volunteers, who moved to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in SEC play. Quarterback George MacIntyre added 197 passing yards to keep the offense moving while the defense held firm.
Alabama struggles on offense
Alabama fell to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference. It is the first time since 2007 that the Crimson Tide have lost back to back regular season games, following their loss to top ranked Georgia last week.
The Crimson Tide managed just 201 yards of total offense, including a low total of 54 yards on the ground. Turnovers hurt them all afternoon, as they gave the ball away four times. Quarterback Keelon Russell threw two interceptions and Alabama lost two fumbles. Russell scored the team's only touchdown on a 19 yard run and finished with 147 passing yards.
Sloppy first half sets the tone
Both teams struggled to move the ball early. Tennessee led 12-10 at halftime after an opening half that featured five combined turnovers. The two programs went a combined 3 of 17 on third down conversions before the break.
Alabama generated only 93 offensive yards in the first half and missed on all seven of its third down tries. Tennessee repeatedly drove deep into opponent territory but had to settle for four field goals from kicker Cooper Ranvier.
