Tyler Huntley Starts for Ravens as Lamar Jackson Sits Out Against Browns
Lamar Jackson will miss Sunday's game with an ankle injury, leaving Tyler Huntley to start for Baltimore against Cleveland.

Jackson Sidelined for Second Consecutive Week
Lamar Jackson will miss Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. Baltimore Ravens coach Jesse Minter confirmed the news on Friday after the quarterback missed all three practices during the week.
Jackson is recovering from a sprained left ankle suffered on Oct. 4 on the final play of the first half against the Tennessee Titans. This marks the second straight game he will miss. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will take over under center.
Huntley Delivers in Relief Role
Huntley has performed well when called upon. He has won his last three starts in relief of Jackson, earning victories over the Bears, Rams, and Falcons. During that span, Huntley threw four touchdown passes with zero interceptions while Baltimore averaged 33.7 points per game.
His latest win came on Sunday night against Atlanta, where he scored on a 1 yard sneak to secure a 30-23 overtime win. Coach Minter voiced full belief in the backup, saying, "We won't bat an eye with Snoop being in there." Running back Derrick Henry agreed, adding, "Our job is just to hold it down until he gets back. Snoop's doing a heck of a job."
Meeting the Team That Cut Him
Sunday brings an extra angle for Huntley, who rejoined Baltimore before the 2025 season after the Browns released him. Cleveland chose to keep Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders on its 53 man roster instead.
Huntley began that season as Baltimore's third quarterback before replacing Cooper Rush by Week 6. Since the start of the 2025 season, Huntley holds the league's highest Total QBR at 79.7 and top completion rate at 77.8% among quarterbacks with at least three starts. His play has helped steady the 4-1 Ravens, who were 4-11 in their previous 15 games without Jackson.
