Viking Stuns Bayern as PSG Hits Top Gear
Viking FK earned a dramatic draw against Bayern Munich, while Paris Saint-Germain continued their strong turnaround with five straight wins.

Viking FK rattle Bayern Munich
Norwegian club Viking FK produced a massive result in Champions League Matchday 2 by taking points off Bayern Munich. Viking, who lost their opening match alongside fellow debutants LASK and Sabah, scored on their very first shot on Tuesday. They pushed their lead to 2-0 before halftime.
Bayern fought back as Konrad Laimer set up Luis Diaz to give the German club the lead. The match shifted when Michael Olise received a red card. Herman Haugen then rose over Alphonso Davies to head in an equalizer, and Peter Christiansen forced a late save from Jonas Urbig in extra time. Bayern won the expected goals battle 3.3 to 0.7, but Viking held on for a draw. Viking's first two league phase games have now produced 10 total goals.
Paris Saint-Germain hit their stride
Paris Saint-Germain look sharp again after an unconvincing opening month. The French champions lost to Lens in the Trophee des Champions and took only two points from their first three league matches, sitting level with Le Mans in 13th place.
Manager Luis Enrique rotates heavily and rarely needs his top lineup settled before spring. PSG have now won five consecutive matches on either side of the international break by a combined score of 16-5. Enrique has handed starts to 20 different players across those five games. Ousmane Dembele has delivered three goals and four assists in four starts. Ferran Torres has scored five goals, while new arrival Maghnes Akliouche has added two goals and an assist.
