Coby White Returns to Hornets Lineup as Kon Knueppel Nears Recovery
Coby White makes his season debut for the Hornets on Monday, while Kon Knueppel is also nearing a return from injury.

White makes season debut
The Charlotte Hornets are starting to get healthy again. Point guard Coby White will make his season debut on Monday night when Charlotte plays host to the Detroit Pistons.
White hurt his calf during offseason workouts and has missed all games so far this season. He stepped into the role of starting point guard after the Hornets traded LaMelo Ball earlier in the offseason. Veteran guard Dennis Schroder has been starting in place of White while he recovered from the injury. Head coach Charles Lee confirmed that White will be placed on a minutes restriction for his first few games back on the floor.
Knueppel closing in on return
Second year guard Kon Knueppel is also nearing his return from a hamstring injury that he suffered during offseason workouts. Head coach Charles Lee said Knueppel is right around the corner from returning, although Lee did not provide an exact date for his comeback.
Knueppel has already been taking part in five on five drills, and the team recently began adding contact drills into his workload. Once he is fully cleared to return to action, he is expected to take Sion James spot in the starting lineup.
Knueppel enjoyed an outstanding rookie season for Charlotte, averaging 18.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He led the entire NBA in 3 pointers made last season and finished as the runner up to Cooper Flagg in the Rookie of the Year voting.
Busy week ahead for Charlotte
Getting players back from injury comes at an important time for Charlotte. Following their home game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday night, the team will travel to play the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. Charlotte then returns home to host Boston on Thursday night.
