Dickerson Headed to Injured Reserve
The Philadelphia Eagles are placing Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson on injured reserve. Dickerson is dealing with a knee injury and will miss at least the next four games.
Dickerson confirmed the move during a Monday radio appearance, saying that he assumed the report was correct. He agreed that taking time to heal is the right choice.
Struggles and Injury History
The Eagles won their opening game 24-22 against Washington on Sunday, but Dickerson struggled on the field. Dickerson admitted that he played poorly in the opener. He stated that he felt like a liability and should not be playing until he is fully healthy.
Dickerson explained that he was rolled up on in practice a few weeks ago, and this injury is not related to his past knee issues. He has dealt with lower body ailments in recent years, including meniscus surgery in August 2025. He appeared in 15 games that season but admitted he probably returned to action too quickly. He even traveled to Columbia for stem cell therapy during the offseason, which he found helpful, but he still struggled with mobility during training camp and the season opener.
Next Man Up for Philadelphia
With Dickerson sidelined, the Eagles must find a replacement on the offensive line. Drew Kendall, who was selected in the fifth round of the 2025 draft out of Boston College, is a strong candidate to fill the spot. Kendall had a strong offseason and could step into the lineup.
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni praised Dickerson on Monday. Sirianni called him tough as heck and noted that the team has won a lot of games with him. The coach added that every player and coach has good moments and moments they need to fix.
