Hart Backs Al Mubarak
Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has thrown his support behind club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak. Hart stated he trusts the chairman's claims that the club will prove its innocence, despite reports suggesting they will be found guilty of breaking Premier League financial rules.
The club is facing 115 charges for allegedly breaching financial regulations. Reports have emerged suggesting that City are expected to be found guilty of the vast majority of these charges. However, Al Mubarak recently released a statement stating that nothing has changed regarding the legal battle. He added that the club's confidence in proving its innocence remains strong.
Hart, who played for Manchester City between 2006 and 2016, spoke about his relationship with the chairman. He explained that he has nothing but love and respect for Al Mubarak.
Ignoring the Speculation
The former England goalkeeper explained that he is ignoring the outside noise surrounding the case. He noted that many people have been given free rein to say whatever they want about a situation that has not yet been proven.
Hart stated that he has no reason not to trust the chairman. He praised Al Mubarak for leading both him and the club brilliantly during his time in Manchester.
For Hart, the chairman's words are enough to keep him calm. He described the current talk as speculation and said he will wait to let the process play out.

He added that if Manchester City are eventually found guilty, then there will be conversations to be had. However, because of Al Mubarak's assurances, Hart does not believe that will happen. He remains proud of what he and his teammates achieved during his ten years at the club.
