The Struggle at M&T Bank Stadium

The Baltimore Ravens are facing an unfamiliar problem. Once one of the most dominant home teams in football, they have now lost four straight games in Baltimore. That is just one defeat away from tying a franchise record.

The team last won a home game on November 23 against the New York Jets. Since Week 13 of last season, only the Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals have failed to win a game at home.

Running back Derrick Henry knows things have to change when the Ravens host the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. Henry said they need to win at home and protect their home turf.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson also acknowledged the pressure. He said there is a lot of urgency to start winning at home, calling the streak very disappointing for the team and the fans. From 2000 to 2024, Baltimore had the third-best home record in the league at 141-54. Now, the players are eager to turn things around. Offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten said the situation bothers him a lot and he is ready to flip the narrative.

Inside the Slump

During this four-game skid, the Ravens have struggled in multiple ways. In a 32-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore turned the ball over five times. Jackson threw an interception and lost two fumbles in that game.

The bad luck continued in a 27-22 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where an overturned touchdown catch by Isaiah Likely cost the team late in the game. Then, during a 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots, Jackson suffered a back contusion and left the game early. Backup Tyler Huntley could only manage 58 passing yards in the second half.

Most recently, the Ravens lost 24-17 to the New Orleans Saints after giving up two fourth-quarter touchdowns. Jackson has thrown just two touchdowns and three interceptions over this four-game stretch at home.

Coach Jesse Minter is changing his approach this week. Instead of focusing on the home record, he wants the team to focus on cleaning up their play and controlling what they can.
