Struggling Jets Face Identity Crisis After Three Straight Losses
With a 1-3 record and a vanishing pass rush, the New York Jets are searching for answers before hosting the Cleveland Browns.

A Search for Answers
The New York Jets are still searching for their identity after a rough start to the season. The team sits at 1-3, having dropped three straight games after an opening win against the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Aaron Glenn wanted a physical team that controls the line of scrimmage, but opponents are not feeling the pressure.
After a loss on Sunday, Chicago Bears linebacker Devin Bush called it one of the easiest games he has played, noting he was not sore at all. The Bears held the ball for over 42 minutes, while the Jets had it for just over 17 minutes. Center Josh Myers admitted that three straight losses are tough to stomach.
Struggles on Both Sides of the Ball
The Jets defense has regressed over the last six quarters, giving up 44 points and 727 total yards. The pass rush has disappeared. The front four, which includes top pick David Bailey, has recorded zero sacks over the last two games. This is despite heavy investments, including trading for T'Vondre Sweat and signing Joseph Ossai to a three-year, $34.5 million contract.
On offense, the running game has stalled. Breece Hall rushed for 102 yards in the opener but sat out Sunday with a quadriceps injury. Without him, the ground game managed just 59 yards, and the offensive line is struggling to open lanes.
Pressure Mounts on Glenn
The pressure is rising on Glenn, who has lost 17 of his first 21 games. Only Rich Kotite had a worse start in franchise history, going 3-18 in 1995 and 1996. Glenn remains confident in his formula and believes the team is making progress, but fans are frustrated. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson noted that the biggest part of their season is starting now.
