Sanders Sidelined Following Win

Alabama starting left guard William Sanders is set to miss at least two weeks of action after sustaining a lower leg injury. The junior offensive lineman suffered the injury during the team's 31-20 win over Texas A&M on Saturday.

Sanders has been an essential part of the Alabama offense throughout the campaign. He has started all eight games for the Crimson Tide this season. His performance has been strong up front, as his one pressure allowed is the fewest among all starting offensive linemen on the team.

DeBoer Updates Timeline

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer talked to reporters after the win and gave an update on the guard. He explained that Sanders will be evaluated again on Sunday to determine the exact severity of the damage.

DeBoer indicated that the absence could stretch longer than two weeks depending on those evaluation results. He noted that Sanders is probably the one player who could be out for a little bit, adding that it might be a couple more weeks than just one or two.

Injury List Grows For Tide

The loss of Sanders comes as Alabama deals with several other health issues across the roster. Starting center Racin Delgatty has already missed the last two games with a lower body injury of his own.

The offensive line is not the only unit missing key personnel. Starting wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams, cornerback Zabien Brown, and defensive tackle Terrance Green were all out with injuries against Texas A&M. Reserve running back EJ Crowell also missed Saturday's game.

Rest Ahead Of LSU Matchup

The Crimson Tide will now have time to rest as they head into a bye week. Their next matchup is scheduled for Nov. 7, when they play on the road against LSU.

The time off could help Alabama get healthy before that road test. DeBoer mentioned after the game that the staff is optimistic that a lot of injured players will be able to return to the field for the game at LSU.
