Ivory CoastChristian Pulisic Agrees Long Term Contract Extension With AC Milan
Christian Pulisic is set to sign a four year contract extension with AC Milan, keeping the United States star at the Italian club through 2031.
New Long Term Deal in Italy
United States star Christian Pulisic is set to commit his future to AC Milan. The 28 year old attacking player will sign a contract extension that keeps him with the Italian side until 2031. An official announcement about the deal is expected in the next few days.
Pulisic was previously under contract until June 2027. This new agreement adds four additional years to his stay in Milan, securing his spot in the squad for years to come.
Proven Impact at AC Milan
Since moving to Serie A in 2023 from Chelsea for a fee around 22 million euros or 24.4 million dollars, Pulisic has become an essential player for the club. He has recorded 44 goals and 28 assists in 141 total appearances for AC Milan. During the 2024 and 2025 season, he finished as the top scorer for the team.
Before his arrival in Italy, AC Milan had to compete with several other top European clubs to get him. Juventus, Lyon, and Galatasaray all tried to sign him in 2023 before AC Milan completed the transfer.
Overcoming Injury Under Ruben Amorim
Pulisic missed most of the preseason with AC Milan after sustaining an injury during the World Cup. Manager Ruben Amorim steadily brought him back into the first team squad. Pulisic quickly became an important part of the tactical plans under Amorim, playing both in the No. 10 role and out on the wing.
Before joining AC Milan, Pulisic played for Borussia Dortmund starting in 2015. Chelsea then signed him for 58 million pounds or 71.7 million dollars in 2018. He won the 2021 Champions League with the English club, though injuries disrupted his progress in London.
Key Leader for the USMNT
At the international level, Pulisic remains a key player for the United States national team. He has scored 33 goals across 90 appearances for his country. His international career includes appearances in both the 2022 and 2026 World Cups.
His performances for his national team earned him the U.S. Soccer male player of the year award four separate times. He took home that honor in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023. With his new contract set, Pulisic continues his strong run in Europe.
