Jets Rule Out Garrett Wilson for Chiefs Matchup
Garrett Wilson is out against the Chiefs due to a concussion, while Breece Hall is ready to return to the Jets backfield.

Wilson ruled out for Sunday
The New York Jets will be without top wide receiver Garrett Wilson on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Wilson was officially ruled out on Friday as he continues to recover from a concussion.
The timing is bad for the Jets, who are 2-6 and stuck in their second three game losing streak of the season. Wilson absorbed a blow to the head from safety Jeremy Chinn on the next to last play of last week's 38-33 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He reported symptoms on Monday and entered concussion protocol on Wednesday. Wilson leads the team with 43 receptions for 527 yards and three touchdowns.
Next receivers up
With Wilson sidelined, Adonai Mitchell will become the top receiver. Mitchell is coming off a career high 142 yards. Rookie Omar Cooper Jr. will also see a bigger role after getting zero targets last week, following consecutive 100 yard receiving games.
"You can't replace Garrett Wilson, he's a unique player," offensive coordinator Frank Reich said. "On the other hand, we're not afraid. Did you see the game AD had? Did you see the games Coop has had? We have a lot of confidence in our guys."
Reich added that if Wilson is not up, they will do AD things or Coop things, noting that coaches must play to the strengths of the players on the field.
Breece Hall returns to the backfield
There is better news in the backfield for New York. Running back Breece Hall announced Thursday that he is ready to play after missing five games with a quadriceps injury.
Backup Braelon Allen stepped up during Hall's absence, rushing for 504 yards over those five games. Reich said the workload distribution will be a mixture. Head coach Aaron Glenn noted that the media will try to spin it into a negative situation, adding that both guys will play.
