Man United Plan Defensive Changes as Transfer Rumors Heat Up
Manchester United consider defensive changes while Arsenal set a valuation on Viktor Gyokeres.

Manchester United prepare for backline changes
Manchester United are weighing up options to refresh their defensive line. Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, and Lisandro Martinez are all entering the final year of their contracts next summer. United are not rushing to make immediate decisions on the trio, but long term plans are being formed for new central defenders and left backs.
Lisandro Martinez has already attracted interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. United do hold an option to extend his contract by an extra year. Additionally, United are tracking AS Roma defender Wesley, who is valued between 50 million and 60 million euros.
Arsenal set price for Gyokeres
Arsenal have established a price tag of 55 million pounds for striker Viktor Gyokeres. That figure equals the initial fee paid to Sporting CP last summer. The 28 year old Sweden international has had a slow start to the current campaign, leading to interest from teams in Spain, Italy, and England.
The Gunners are also following Monza striker Gustavo Varela. The 21 year old has impressed with eight goals in seven matches across all competitions. Arsenal face competition from Napoli and Benfica for his signature.
Contract delays and fresh targets
Liverpool are in no rush to open contract talks with midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, who has entered the final two years of his deal. The 27 year old joined from Brighton for 35 million pounds in 2023 and has made 161 appearances for Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are eyeing Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari as contract talks between the player and Brighton have stalled. Elsewhere, Everton are keeping tabs on Dinamo Zagreb forward Dion Beljo, who has scored 15 goals in 15 appearances this season.
