Giants Ownership Transfer Completed by Tisch Family

Ownership Shift Finalized

The transfer of New York Giants shares from long time co owners Steve, Laurie, and Jonathan Tisch to their children's trusts is now complete. Carolyn Tisch Blodgett confirmed the move at an event in New York.

The Tisch family originally bought a 50 percent stake in the franchise back in 1991. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell noted in April that Steve, Jonathan, and Laurie were no longer direct owners after transferring the shares. Even with the change, all three keep their leadership roles. Steve Tisch remains executive vice president and chairman of the board, Jonathan Tisch is treasurer and director, and Laurie Tisch continues as a board member.

Growing Role Inside the Organization

Tisch Blodgett serves as a strategic advisor for the Tisch ownership group. She visits the team facility at least once a week and has taken on significant responsibilities across the business.

Her work includes international expansion, fan development, and changing the in game experience for fans. She also led the process to sell a minority interest in the team last year. Tisch Blodgett explained that her goal was to bring a high tech, growth mentality to a mature organization. She noted that she is focused on contributing daily rather than thinking about becoming the front facing figure for the family share of ownership.

At the event, she declined to discuss past emails between her uncle Steve Tisch and Jeffrey Epstein. Documents released by the Justice Department in January showed email exchanges from around 2013. Steve Tisch stated in January that he deeply regretted the association.
