Jalen Hurts Visits Eagles Facility During Recovery
Jalen Hurts returned to the Eagles facility on Wednesday as he recovers from blood clots, giving teammates a quick morale boost.

Hurts Returns to Team Facility
Jalen Hurts visited the Philadelphia Eagles facility on Wednesday. It was the first time some players had seen the 28 year old quarterback since he went on injured reserve.
Hurts sat in on the main team meeting along with extra group meetings. He did not speak to the full team, but his presence gave a morale boost to people in the building.
Coach Nick Sirianni said he remains in constant communication with his quarterback. Sirianni noted that he misses him like crazy and that everyone is praying for a speedy recovery while Hurts rests.
Medical Background and Timeline
Hurts is expected to miss the rest of the season. His medical issues began in London before a Week 5 game against Jacksonville. He was first diagnosed with a superficial blood clot, played in that game, flew home, and practiced fully the next Wednesday.
A follow up ultrasound that evening showed the clot had moved. Philadelphia placed him on injured reserve on Oct. 17. Two days later, his agent Nicole Lynn and the team released a statement confirming a deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli.
Hurts is clinically stable with no significant functional limits. However, his blood thinner treatment prevents him from participating in any contact activities.
Quarterback Changes Amid Losing Streak
Tanner McKee took over after Hurts went down. The Eagles went 0-3 with McKee, who threw two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Now, Joe Milton gets his chance. Philadelphia signed Milton off the Dallas Cowboys practice squad in mid October. He enters the lineup as the Eagles try to end a six game losing streak when they host the division leading New York Giants on Sunday.
