Marlon Humphrey Calls Out Unfair Treatment of Lamar Jackson
Marlon Humphrey defended Lamar Jackson against unfair criticism as the Baltimore Ravens quarterback returns to practice.

Defense of the Quarterback
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey spoke out on Thursday regarding what he described as unfair criticism directed at quarterback Lamar Jackson.
When asked about Jackson's status at practice, Humphrey launched into a discussion about the coverage surrounding his teammate. Jackson recently returned to practice after missing two games with a left ankle injury. Humphrey felt the criticism Jackson receives is unique compared to other players.
Humphrey stated that it seems Jackson is the only quarterback who gets that kind of slander whenever anything is going on. He mentioned reading articles while sitting in the hot tub and calling it unfair treatment. When pressed on whether he meant injury slander, Humphrey did not clarify his exact meaning.
Agent Speculation and Practice Return
During his comments in Owings Mills, Maryland, Humphrey wondered if the situation stems from Jackson not having an agent to defend him publicly. However, Humphrey made it clear that if Jackson is healthy enough to play, he will be on the field. He added that if anyone takes issue with his comments, they can interpret them however they want.
Jackson sprained his left ankle 18 days ago. On Thursday, he moved around well during practice and participated in every drill shown during the media viewing portion. The team listed him as a limited participant for the second consecutive day.
Humphrey initially noted that he prefers not to talk about Jackson's personal situation, saying only Jackson speaks for himself. He added that if Jackson cannot play, backup Tyler Huntley, known as Snoop, is ready to step in.
Historical Success Against Cincinnati
A return for Jackson this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals would be a major development for Baltimore. Jackson has built a strong record against Cincinnati.
In his career against the Bengals, Jackson holds an 11-2 record. During those games, he has thrown 24 touchdown passes against six interceptions.
