Pedro Porro Eyes Future Spain Return But Remains Happy At Tottenham
Tottenham right back Pedro Porro has shut down summer transfer rumors but wants to play in Spain again later in his career.

No summer offers from Spanish giants
Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has confirmed he received no concrete offers from Real Madrid or Barcelona during the summer transfer window.
The 27 year old Spaniard acknowledged that some clubs asked about his current situation, but no direct bids arrived. Porro believes that Tottenham rate him as one of the best and that their high asking price likely kept interested clubs away.
Long term contract and happiness at Spurs
Porro signed a contract extension with Tottenham until June 2031 before helping Spain win the World Cup in the summer. He made 47 appearances in all competitions last season, which was the highest total of any player in manager Roberto De Zerbi's squad.
The former Real Valladolid defender expressed complete happiness with life in north London. He joined Spurs permanently from Sporting CP in the summer of 2023 after an initial loan move in January 2023. While he admitted he might have secured a higher salary by waiting until after the World Cup, he chose to sign early to have peace of mind during the tournament.
Future plans in LaLiga
Despite his long term commitment to Tottenham, Porro admitted he wants to head back to his home country eventually. He stated that he is looking forward to returning to Spain one day, even though he respects his contract and feels loved at Spurs.
When asked if he could fit in at Barcelona or Real Madrid down the line, Porro explained that he can adapt to anything, pointing to his successful transition to the Premier League as proof.
