Pierre Sage Dismisses Job Rumours Following Crystal Palace Loss
Pierre Sage insists there is no internal pressure at Crystal Palace after a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle at Selhurst Park.

Pressure builds after another defeat
Crystal Palace suffered another setback on Sunday, losing 2-0 to Newcastle United at Selhurst Park. Second half goals from William Osula and Harvey Barnes within 11 minutes gave the visiting team the win.
It was a second straight Premier League defeat for Palace. The team was beaten 5-0 by Brighton last weekend. Some fans at Selhurst Park booed the players off at full time. Palace manager Pierre Sage stated that the reaction was normal because the team is not getting results.
Sage focuses on internal work
Despite questions about his future at the club, Sage said there is no noise inside. He pointed out that his main focus is finding solutions and creating the right conditions for his players to compete.
Sage said he does not need to convince people around the club. His job is to convince the players to do their best and improve. He revealed that he spoke to Palace chairman Steve Parish this week. Their conversation was about team preparation and match plans rather than his employment. He added that decisions about his job belong to the chairman and owners.
Newcastle bounce back
Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle called the three points deserved. Newcastle had lost their previous league games to Coventry and Aston Villa before visiting Selhurst Park.
Jaissle said that togetherness was never a question during the week. He praised the commitment of his team and stated that victories help strengthen trust within the squad. He noted that his group needed to show they can overcome setbacks together.
