Adin Hill Steps Up for Vegas as Carter Hart Leaves Practice
Carter Hart left morning skate with an injury, so Adin Hill will start for Vegas against Ottawa.

Change in Goal for Vegas
The Vegas Golden Knights will start Adin Hill in goal against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night. Carter Hart left the morning skate early due to an undisclosed injury.
Vegas coach Ryan Craig shared an update after practice. "He's in good hands," Craig said. "We've got a plan here moving forward either way. We'll be ready for tonight."
Hart has posted a 4-3-1 record this season. He holds a 2.76 goals against average and an .889 save percentage. Hill enters the game with a 4-1 record, a 2.95 goals against average, and an .882 save percentage. Both goalies have split time in net, and both have faced injury troubles over the last few seasons.
Hart's Past Path to Vegas
Hart missed nearly three months of action last season because of a left leg injury. He was set to serve as the backup behind Hill in the postseason. However, the team fired coach Bruce Cassidy with eight games left in the regular season.
Replacement coach John Tortorella named Hart the starter instead. Hart performed well initially, going 12-4 across the first three playoff rounds with a 2.22 goals against average and a .924 save percentage. Things got tough in the Stanley Cup Final against Carolina. Hart became the first goalie to allow at least four goals in the first five games, and the Hurricanes won the series in six games.
Hart signed a two year, $4 million contract with Vegas. He was eligible to sign on October 15, 2025, and play starting December 1 after being acquitted last July of sexual assault charges alongside four other players from Canada's 2018 world junior team.
