Jayden Daniels Leads Commanders to Comeback Victory Over Eagles
Jayden Daniels rallied the Washington Commanders from a 10 point deficit to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10 on Sunday night.

Daniels sparks rally after slow start
Washington fell behind 10-0 against Philadelphia at Northwest Stadium. The early stretch included four penalties, a missed 55 yard field goal, a three and out, and a lost fumble.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels gathered the offense on the sideline to reset their focus. Daniels said the start was complete BS and not their brand of football. He felt he had to speak his mind to snap everyone back into place.
The talk worked. Washington responded by scoring 27 unanswered points to secure a 27-10 victory.
Overcoming adversity on the field
Daniels completed 16 of 29 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown while adding 23 yards on the ground. He hit second half passes of 53 and 30 yards. An eight yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs helped give Washington a 13-10 lead by halftime.
The victory ended a long drought for Daniels, who was 0-7-1 in his previous eight starts. His last win came on October 5, 2025. Since that time, he suffered a dislocated left elbow, a hamstring injury, and an overtime mistake against the Giants.
Coach Dan Quinn praised the quarterback for his toughness after Daniels took a hard hit late in the first half. Quinn noted that he always feels his quarterback has poise and control. Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota and running back Austin Ekeler also noted how Daniels stepped up as a leader.
Washington is now 2-4-1 on the season and sits two games behind the first place Giants in the NFC East.
