Trevor Lawrence Lets Rookie Keep Historic Touchdown Ball
Trevor Lawrence threw his 100th career touchdown pass to rookie Josh Cameron, who kept the ball because it was also his first NFL catch.

A Special Milestone for Two Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence reached a major career milestone on Sunday, but he did not end up keeping the ball. Lawrence threw his 100th career touchdown pass during a 34-10 win over the Cleveland Browns.
The historic pass went to rookie wide receiver Josh Cameron. It was a 4-yard catch with 1:42 left in the first quarter, which put the Jaguars up 14-0. The catch was also Cameron's very first reception in the NFL.
Who Gets to Keep the Ball?
Lawrence did not even realize he had reached the 100-touchdown mark until the first half was underway. He initially asked who had the ball, hoping to add it to his collection alongside his very first touchdown pass from 2021.
Once he learned that Cameron had the ball, Lawrence decided the rookie should keep it. "He can keep it," Lawrence said. "I guess I've got to get 200 now. I'll keep that one."
Cameron explained that they had practiced the play all week. He noticed the safety shifting and knew the ball was coming his way. He made the catch between cornerback Denzel Ward and safety Grant Delpit, and later added a 16-yard reception in the third quarter.
Lawrence Joins Elite NFL Company
Lawrence finished the game with two more touchdown passes, bringing his career total to 102. That puts him just one touchdown behind Blake Bortles for second place on the franchise's all-time passing list. Mark Brunell holds the Jaguars record with 146.
With this milestone, Lawrence also joined an elite group of NFL quarterbacks. He is now only the fourth player in league history to record at least 100 passing touchdowns and 20 rushing touchdowns before turning 27. The other three players to accomplish this are Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Cam Newton.
