Alabama Receives Major Roster Boost

No. 5 Alabama will have three starters back on the field for Saturday's game at No. 14 LSU. Wide receiver Ryan Coleman Williams, center Racin Delgatty, and defensive tackle Terrance Green have all been cleared to play. Yea Alabama, the team's NIL entity, announced the official updates on Friday.

Coleman Williams missed the last two games with a knee injury after undergoing arthroscopic surgery. He was able to use the recent bye week for additional recovery time. Before going down with the injury, the former freshman All American was the team's leading receiver.

Help Returns to Both Trenches

Center Racin Delgatty is back after missing two games with a lower leg injury. Delgatty is a key piece as one of the most experienced players on the offensive line. Mal Waldrep started at center while Delgatty was out. With left guard William Sanders listed as questionable on Thursday, having Delgatty back gives coaches the option to shift Waldrep to guard if needed.

Terrance Green returns after dealing with a lingering foot injury. The 6 foot 6 defensive tackle weighs 313 pounds and fills a massive void in the middle of the defense. Alabama missed his presence on run defense as Georgia and Tennessee found success on the ground without Green clogging up the middle.

Playoff Race Adds Extra Pressure

Alabama still faces some injury questions. Cornerback Zabien Brown, a preseason All America selection, and running back EJ Crowell were listed as questionable on Thursday. Crowell provides an explosive element to the offense, averaging 6.8 yards per carry.

Saturday's game carries heavy playoff implications. Both SEC teams already have two losses. A third loss could potentially knock either team out of the playoff hunt.
