Andrey Santos Praises Bruno Fernandes After Fast Transfer to Manchester United
Andrey Santos opened up about his sudden move to Manchester United and named Bruno Fernandes as the one player who stood out against Chelsea.

From Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford
Andrey Santos recently shared details about his £48 million move from Chelsea to Manchester United last summer. The 22 year old midfielder was on his way to report back to Chelsea when his agent told him to head to Manchester instead.
Santos had been taking his children to the doctor when United first asked for a meeting. He pulled over, left his family with his wife, and took the call from the parking lot. Two days later, his move was finalized mid flight.
Praise for Bruno Fernandes
Reflecting on his time facing United while playing for Chelsea, Santos admitted that Bruno Fernandes was the only player who truly impressed him. Chelsea lost that match 2-1 at Old Trafford after goalkeeper Robert Sánchez was sent off early.
Santos called Fernandes an extraordinary player and said it is special to learn from him every day. United went on to finish third last season under Michael Carrick, helped by 21 assists from Fernandes. Meanwhile, Chelsea fell to 10th place after winning just two of their final 11 games.
Filling Big Shoes
Santos was brought in alongside Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba as part of a midfield rebuild. He replaces Casemiro, who joined Inter Miami after scoring nine goals for United last term.
The young Brazilian acknowledged the heavy expectations that come with replacing his fellow countryman. He stated that he loves responsibility and works hard to give his best for the team.
