Man United target Branthwaite in defense makeover
Manchester United are targeting Jarrad Branthwaite for a defensive rebuild while top European clubs chase elite talent.

Man United target Branthwaite
Manchester United are planning major changes to their defense, and Everton center back Jarrad Branthwaite is at the center of those plans. United are among the frontrunners for the 24 year old defender. They previously had an offer worth £45 million turned down in 2024.
Liverpool are also interested in signing Branthwaite. However, Everton could be reluctant to let him join a local rival. Meanwhile, former Newcastle manager Eddie Howe would be open to discussing a potential return to management with Manchester United if the opportunity arises.
Interest builds for young stars across Europe
Young talent is attracting plenty of attention in the transfer market. Paris Saint Germain have joined the chase for 16 year old Manchester United forward J.J. Gabriel. Real Madrid remain the favorites to sign him as discussions continue with clubs across Europe.
Chelsea and Manchester City both sent scouts to watch 22 year old Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi on Sunday. He scored a hat trick in a 3-2 win against Sint-Truidense, taking his total to 12 goals in 14 matches across all competitions. City view him as a long term replacement for Erling Haaland, while Chelsea see him as a backup option for Joao Pedro.
Further updates around the leagues
Brighton feel confident that Real Madrid do not have a clause to buy back 21 year old midfielder Chema Andres. He moved to Brighton for £15 million last summer.
Inter Milan are in contract negotiations with 28 year old wing back Federico Dimarco. The club reached an agreement on a two year extension until 2028, but they remain apart on salary terms as he wants €7.5 million per season.
Elsewhere, Everton, Napoli, and Tottenham Hotspur are tracking Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford. Real Madrid are monitoring Manchester City attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka.
